"Occult Tarot" is an attempt to present the cards not as a set of predetermined meanings, but as a language in which the Western occult tradition speaks about humanity and the world. The deck's apparent simplicity conceals a complex, multi-layered structure, akin to astrology, alchemy, and Kabbalah, and it is this hidden structure that transforms divination into a system of correspondences. The true depth of the cards, in my opinion, is revealed only to those who see not the meaning behind the image, but their place in the system. The app contains all seventy-eight Arcana—twenty-two Major Arcana, sixteen Court Arcana, and forty Minor Arcana. Each Arcana is revealed not on its own, but within a network of connections: behind it stand a planet and a zodiac sign with its decan, an element, a letter of the Hebrew alphabet, and a sephira of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life. Alongside it are its light aspect, leading to opportunities, and its shadow aspect, revealing obstacles. The same card can be viewed in different decks—Thoth, Waite, Marseilles, Ceremonial Magic, and Charles VI—with a separate analysis of the symbolism for each. For practice, the app offers over forty spreads for any question: from a quick card of the day and a three-card spread to the Pentagram, Celtic Cross, and an annual forecast for the twelve houses of the horoscope, as well as spreads on relationships, work, money, choice, and crisis. You can entrust the cards to fate, and the app will automatically spread them based on the date, time, and question, or you can manually spread your own deck. The finished spread can be read in three ways: an automatic analysis of the balance of elemental, planetary, and zodiacal forces; a detailed interpretation based on the symbolism of the selected deck; and a free interpretation from a tarot reader. Each spread is saved privately, via a link, or publicly; you can return to it, discuss, and rate it. The cards are the foundation of the entire tradition. The ten sephiroth of the Tree of Life form the framework upon which all the arcana rest; the seven planets of the Chaldean order and the twelve zodiac signs with their thirty-six decans connect the cards with the sky; the twenty-two Hebrew letters and gematria give them their name and number; the four elements determine their suits and temperament. The shadow half of the tradition, linked to the cards through the same Tree, is also revealed—the demons of the Goetia and the kings of the deadly sins, the Geniuses of the Shemhamphorash who correct them, the Qliphoth, the Gate of Akhet, and the alchemical processes of the Great Work. All material has been read from within the school of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and Aleister Crowley's Thoth Tarot—a specific tradition with its own correspondences and its own sidereal zodiac counting, not a neutral summary of all systems at once. In other words, the arrangement of connections can be argued with, and I hope the reader will.
