Chaban is a mobile app for the sheep breeding community. It's a "LinkedIn for farmers": a place where farms find each other, buy and sell breeding sheep, share experiences, and grow together. GROW FASTER TOGETHER Sheep farming isn't a solitary endeavor. Chaban was created to ensure farmers aren't left alone with their flocks: • Create a public profile for your farm—like a LinkedIn page, but for sheep farmers; • Find colleagues in your area, region, or neighboring country; • Follow interesting farms, read their news, and learn from those leading the way; • Sell rams and ewes directly to buyers, without intermediaries; • Share experiences—shearing, feeding, lambing, veterinary care. WHY NOW "Arashan" is a sheep breed developed in Kyrgyzstan. Every year, more and more farmers are breeding it, and interest in pedigree selection in the region is growing rapidly. Previously, flock records were kept in notebooks, and buyers were sought through acquaintances. Chaban was created to bring this work into the digital space and unite disparate farmers into a single community. KEY FEATURES • Farm Directory - Find sheep farms on the map, explore their specialization and contact information. • Breeding Database - Keep track of your sheep and breeding lines, track performance and pedigrees. • Sheep for Sale - Post rams and ewes with photos, descriptions, and prices. Buyers can use the convenient search feature. • Farm News - Share shearing news, lambs, and events. Follow colleagues. • Work Calendar — a schedule of vaccinations, treatments, shearing, and seasonal tasks. • Training — articles on breeding, feeding, veterinary medicine, and breeding records from experienced sheep breeders in the community. WHERE IS OUR COMMUNITY? Chaban is open to sheep breeders from countries with rich breeding traditions: • Kyrgyzstan — the birthplace of the Arashan breed, the foundation of the community; • Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan — neighbors with a deep history of sheep breeding; • Russia — the North Caucasus, the Volga region, Kalmykia, Altai, Siberia, and other regions with centuries-old traditions; • Mongolia — the world's largest free-ranging herds; • Transcaucasian countries — Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia; • Turkey, Iran, and other countries in the region with a rich breeding tradition; • and any other country with sheep farmers. Experience is irrelevant—we support both those who have been working with sheep for thirty years and those who have just purchased their first flock.
