Kikumoa is an app designed to train the brain's listening skills for those concerned about age-related hearing changes, difficulty understanding conversations in noisy environments, and frequent misunderstandings or requests for repetition. "I can hear the sounds, but I have trouble understanding them as words." "I can't follow conversations in noisy places like restaurants." "I'm having more trouble asking for repetitions or misunderstandings." "Even with hearing aids, I sometimes can't understand conversations." Kikumoa was developed for people experiencing these kinds of hearing difficulties. [Focusing on the brain's "listening ability," not just the ears] To understand sounds as words, the brain's ability to distinguish and process the sounds that enter the ear is also involved. Kikumoa trains the brain's auditory processing by repeatedly performing tasks that involve concentrating on listening to sounds, distinguishing them, and answering by operating the screen. [Train for 30 minutes a day, at your convenience] You can train at home using your smartphone for approximately 30 minutes a day. It's a game-style training where you distinguish between correct and incorrect sounds to answer. No special equipment is required. By using it daily, it is designed to directly train the auditory processing (brain processing) necessary for hearing sounds. [Difference from Hearing Aids] Hearing aids are devices that help deliver sound according to your hearing condition. Kikumore is an ear-brain training program that focuses on the brain's processing to distinguish sounds entering the ear and process them as words. [Research and Development and Verification] Kikumoa is a training program developed over eight years by neumo Co., Ltd., based on research findings in neuroscience. We also conducted effectiveness verification of Kikumoa in collaboration with Keio University Hospital.
