Store description excerpt

Al-Mawardi's commentary, titled "Al-Nukat wa al-'Uyun" (The Subtle Points and the Sources), is a medium-sized commentary that combines transmitted knowledge with linguistic and jurisprudential insights. It is distinguished by its meticulous methodology in compiling and organizing opinions, its focus on interpreting ambiguous verses with careful attention to rhetoric and linguistic analysis, and is considered an important Shafi'i reference work. Imam al-Mawardi: He is Abu al-Hasan Ali ibn Muhammad al-Basri al-Mawardi al-Shafi'i. He was born in Basra in 364 AH and died in Baghdad in 450 AH. He was nicknamed al-Mawardi because of his work in making and selling rosewater. Biographical works provide no information about him or his family. His only journeys in pursuit of knowledge were from Basra to Baghdad, where he studied Islamic jurisprudence, hadith, exegesis, Quranic readings, linguistics, and other subjects. He excelled in the Shafi'i school of thought, becoming one of its leading figures. He held the prestigious position of Chief Justice of the Shafi'i school, during which he witnessed the state of affairs in the country, including the Buyid dynasty's control of the Caliphate in Baghdad and later the Seljuk rule. This application of Imam al-Mawardi's exegesis is distinguished by several features: The book is complete and identical to the printed version. A comprehensive index of all chapters of the Holy Quran. An index of the quarters of the chapters of the Holy Quran. A fast and accurate search across all chapters of the book, displaying all results for each search term. Separate search functionality for each chapter of the exegesis. A night mode for eye comfort while reading. Automatically saves the last read page and allows you to return to it. Works offline. A simple and user-friendly interface. The app size is very small. Fast and smooth performance on all devices. Large, clear font with a comprehensive format and the ability to copy the text. The Quranic verses are colored differently from the commentary. The Prophetic hadiths are colored differently from the text and verses.
