If you look up Matthew 17:21, the text is missing where it should be; instead, it is enclosed in parentheses with the words "Verse 21 missing." This was added by later manuscripts, taken from Mark 9:29. This was added by later manuscripts, taken from Luke 19:10. The parts marked "-Verse missing" are text that is not found in ancient manuscripts. These are texts that are not found in papyrus manuscripts from around the 3rd century or in the capital letters of the 4th and 5th centuries.
