"Nippon Map Encyclopedia" is an educational app that lets you learn about Japan's 47 prefectures through play. It's enjoyable for preschoolers, elementary school students, and even adults looking to refresh their knowledge. All kanji characters have furigana (phonetic readings), so even children who can't yet read kanji can play independently. Learn about Japan in 6 modes: ■ Shape Quiz: Look at the shape of each prefecture and guess its name. Three difficulty levels: Easy (4 choices), Normal (text input), and Voice Answer (voice). In Voice Answer mode, simply say the prefecture name into the microphone. ■ Japan Map Puzzle: Place the prefecture pieces in the correct positions for each region. Selecting "No Guide" creates an advanced mode where you memorize the positions before placing the pieces. ■ Prefectural Capital City Quiz: Look at the shape and name of each prefecture and guess its capital city. Supports Easy (4 choices), Normal (text input), and Voice Answer (voice). ■ Prefectural Picture Book Includes all 47 prefectures, complete with their shape, pronunciation, region, prefectural capital, local specialties, tourist attractions, and fun facts. ■ River Quiz Learn about Japan's famous rivers. The "Where does it flow?" question uses a map of Japan with four color-coded options. River names include phonetic readings. ■ Local Specialty Quiz Learn in a fun way about "Which prefecture is number one in Japan for production of [product name]?" No account registration required, no ads to interrupt learning. Safe for children.
