"Hot or Not?" is a weather and heat index app designed for Hong Kong residents. Using publicly available meteorological data from the Hong Kong Observatory, it calculates the perceived temperature, heat index, and heat risk level for your area. It then tells you in Cantonese whether it's safe to go out, the best time to go out, and where the nearest water fountains and cooling centers are. Whether you're a construction worker, cleaner, security guard, delivery person, gardener, parent picking up children, caregiver for the elderly, or a resident who enjoys hiking or jogging—"Hot or Not?" helps you avoid the hottest hours of the day, find the nearest hydration points, and reduce the risk of heatstroke and heat exhaustion.
