Malik bin Al-Reeb bin Hawt bin Kart Al-Mazni Al-Tamimi. Poet, witty literary lethal. It was famous in the early Umayyad period. And there was news about him that he cut the road for a while. Saeed bin Othman bin Affan saw him in the desert on his way between Medina and Basra, as he was going to Khorasan, and Muawiyah (56) had appointed him over it. Saeed warned him of what is said about him about the wickedness, cut the road, repaired it, and took him with him to Khorasan. He witnessed the conquest of Samarkand, and his asceticism. And he lived after the dismissal of Saeed, so he fell ill in (Maru) and felt death, so he said his famous poem, which is one of the deceitful poetry, and I counted it 58 verses, its beginning: I wish my poetry would you not sleep one night.. I found nothing but a weeping sword and spear, and Al-Baghdadi cited it in full, and mentioned what some people claimed, which is that the jinn placed the paper in which the poem was under his head after his death. Abu Ali Al-Qali said: He was one of the most beautiful Arabs, and the most eloquent of them. And Dr. Hamoudi Al-Qaisi (Diwan of Malik Ibn al-Rib, his life and poetry - i).
