Built for myself first, because nothing else fit & for people who already think in plain text... Ioths is a reliable offline & privacy-first notes and task-management app for iPhone and iPad. Ioths features a kanban board for task management and various view models for easy access and overview of your notes, tasks and journaling. Every note is a plain Markdown file with YAML frontmatter. Readable & portable. TASKS, KANBAN, AND FOCUS • Any checklist inside a note turns it into a task note, so no separate task manager to maintain • See progress of tasks belonging to the task on its card, and switch between List, Tile, Kanban, and Thoughts (notes without tasks) layouts • Flag a note "in progress" and it moves to its Kanban lane automatically as tasks get checked off • A configurable WIP limit caps how many notes can be in progress at once • A dedicated Tasks screen flattens every open checklist item across your whole Library into one list CAPTURE, FAST • Type, snap or select a photo, voice, and Share Extension capture land straight in Markdown • PDF-to-Markdown conversion with on-device review before you save • Tags, pinned notes, and quick search keep everything findable • Comprehensive set of Home Screen widgets for a quick and ever-present view of what's going on BUILT ON PLAIN FILES Notes are stored as .md files with YAML frontmatter in the same structure Obsidian vaults use. Nothing is proprietary and nothing is stored by Ioths on any central server (thus, I Own The Hosted Source). PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Your notes stay on this device until you explicitly turn on a sync destination. There's no Ioths account and no developer-operated sign-in. Usage/app-performance analytics are off unless you turn them on, and even then they never include note content, titles, or tags or personal identifiable information. Nothing is sold. Nothing trains an AI model. UNLOCK MORE STORAGE Full Unlock is a one-time purchase and not a subscription.
