You can read Hangul and you know plenty of words. Then someone speaks to you and your mind goes blank. IntroBird is for the seconds right after that, when nothing comes out. HOW IT WORKS Save a word. Any Korean word you want to keep. That word turns up in a short story, written at your level, with audio. Then it turns up in a chat, where you have to use it yourself. Then it comes back for review later. So the same word keeps coming back until you can actually use it. WHAT IS FREE, WHAT PRO COSTS Free: 2 voice calls and 2 stories to start with. After that, 1 call and 1 story each week. A set is a group of words you saved together. The first story from any new set is always free. Saving words, texting your friends, scenes and reviews are not on a weekly limit. Pro takes the weekly limit off. Stories and calls any day you want. You can see the price in your own currency on this page and in the app, before anything is charged. SAVE WORDS FROM ANYWHERE Save a word from a chat inside the app. Take a photo of a page. The camera reads the Korean for you. Playing a Korean song? The app brings up the lyrics. Save any word you like. STORIES MADE FROM YOUR WORDS Short stories written at your level, using the words you saved. Listen to the audio. Tap any word to see what it means. SCENES A short chat with a goal. Your friend is hungry, and you two have to agree on a place to eat. Five turns, so five messages from you. Nothing is scripted. Your friend cannot guess what you want, so you have to say it in Korean. Each scene is built from a few of your words. Save words from your job or your street, and that is what you end up talking about. TEXT AND CALL THE AI FRIENDS Text them the way you text anyone. They use the words you saved. When you want to speak, make a short live voice call. No one else hears it. You can get it wrong as many times as you need. SOMEONE TELLS YOU WHEN IT IS WRONG Before your message is sent, the app checks your Korean. If something is off, it shows you the part to fix and why, and you send it yourself. After a voice call you get a short review. It picks the few moments worth fixing and you can practise them again. Scenes are set in casual or polite Korean, so you practise the one the situation actually calls for. WORDS COME BACK BEFORE YOU FORGET The words you keep getting wrong come back sooner. The ones you get right come back less often, but they still come back. Nothing is deleted. Your words stay in your list. YOUR PROGRESS One screen shows how many of your saved words you have actually used. Most apps count minutes studied. This one counts words you have used. WHO IT IS FOR You read Hangul and know some words, but you freeze when you speak. You finished a beginner app and want a real conversation now.
