It reads the current weather, hour, solar term, and moon phase, then chooses one line from 3,192 classical Chinese poems that suits the moment — rain has its lines, early autumn has its own. ■ Vertical, the way it was written Real vertical typesetting: columns running right to left, punctuation in its proper vertical form, the colophon to the left of the poem, the seal following the last word.
