CapyOCR is a private, offline image to text app and OCR scanner for Android. Copy and edit text from photos, documents, receipts, long images, and tables without uploading files to a cloud OCR service. Capture or import an image, run on-device text recognition, review the result, then copy, edit, organize, or export it. IMAGE TO TEXT—OFFLINE • Convert camera photos, gallery pictures, scanned pages, and images shared from other apps to editable text. • Extract printed text from receipts, notes, books, forms, reports, and documents. • Keep recognition private with on-device OCR that works without an internet connection. • Review low-confidence text before copying or exporting it. BATCH & LONG IMAGE OCR • Recognize multiple photos together with batch processing. • Handle long images with overlap-aware text merging. • Pause large recognition jobs safely and resume from page checkpoints. • Keep completed pages when a job is paused or cancelled. • Retry failed pages without starting the entire task again. CAMERA & DOCUMENT CAPTURE • Capture single or multi-page documents with the camera. • Detect page edges automatically or adjust all four corners manually. • Correct perspective and rotate pages. • Reorder captured pages with drag-and-drop controls. • Improve readability with original, color, grayscale, document, and black-and-white filters. • Combine processed images into a PDF when needed. TABLE OCR & SPREADSHEET EXPORT • Recognize text and table structure directly on the device. • Recover rows, columns, borderless tables, and merged cells. • Turn table images into editable XLSX spreadsheets. • Correct every cell when the detected layout needs adjustment. • Export table results as XLSX or HTML. LOCAL WI-FI IMAGE TRANSFER Send images from a computer to your phone over the same Wi-Fi network, then run OCR on the phone.
