元丰五年（1082年），已被贬至黄州两年多的苏轼于七月十六和十月十五两次泛游赤壁，写下了两篇以赤壁为题的赋，后人因称第一篇为《赤壁赋》或《前赤壁赋》，第二篇为《后赤壁赋》。 本品收录三件书法原帖。 —— 苏轼书《前赤壁赋》 卷，纸本，行楷书，纵23.9厘米，横258厘米。台北故宫博物院藏。前一部分有残，文徵明以苏轼笔意补写所缺36字。 —— 赵孟頫书《前后赤壁赋》（1301年），并作东坡像于卷首。台北故宫博物院藏。 《前后赤壁赋》纸本册装，共11开21页，每页纵27.2厘米，横11.1厘米。 —— 文徵明极为喜爱《赤壁赋》，一生之中曾以不同笔法多次书写，仅传世之作就有十余件。此版本行书《前后赤壁赋》为其八十三岁所书（1552年）。 更以赵孟頫书《赤壁赋》为范本，摘取单字，以供临习。以手指移动速度、加速度及压力改变笔道宽度，并可配置。可存所写单字，并可排列成为作品。
