Logic Hydraulic Cylinder Tools brings hydraulic cylinder design and engineering calculations to your pocket. Designed for engineers, manufacturers, and field technicians, the app provides the most commonly used calculations in one place, quickly and conveniently. CALCULATION TOOLS • Force & Diameter — Calculate the required piston/rod diameter based on working pressure, or determine the actual pushing and pulling force from a selected diameter. Automatic rounding to standard series diameters is supported. • Bolt Calculation — Determine the required number of bolts for the cover connection, the force per bolt, the actual safety factor, and the recommended tightening torque. DIN standards and bolt grades are supported. • Port Calculation — Determine the minimum required port inner diameter based on flow rate and identify the appropriate standard port size. View ideal and acceptable flow velocity results. • Buckling — Calculate the critical buckling load and actual safety factor using the Euler and Tetmajer methods. Different mounting (support) types and materials are supported. • Cycle Time — Calculate extension and retraction stroke times, piston speed, and volume based on piston/rod diameter, stroke length, and flow rate. • Wall Thickness — Determine the recommended minimum wall thickness and outer diameter for the cylinder tube using the Barlow and Lamé formulas.
