The main focus of this book discusses people's economic security from an Islamic perspective. This book is divided into six chapters. First chapter, Political Economy in Islam: Urgency and Development of Discourse. This chapter discusses the politics of economic law in Islam, especially the issue of guaranteeing the people's economy which must be carried out by a government. Second chapter, People's Economic Guarantee in the Western Legal Tradition; A Description for Comparison. This chapter discusses variants of the welfare state school of thought and the implementation of social security (people's economy) in various countries in the Western legal tradition. Besides that, criticism of the welfare state is also discussed. The third chapter, Islamic Principles regarding People's Economic Guarantee. In this chapter, principles for leaders and citizens are discussed for realizing social security. Fourth chapter, Implementation of People's Economic Guarantees in an Islamic Perspective. The study focuses on forms of social security in Islamic government as well as the value basis for the existence of the welfare state model in Islam. Fifth chapter, Community Economic Institutions as Supporters of Economic Security. Examining various institutions in Islam which are expected to be able to support the economic security of the people, including: productive waqf, waqf empowerment, halal certification, intellectual property rights, business anti-monopoly and economic legal entities in Islam. Sixth chapter. Inspiration for Action: Towards Community Economic Development. In closing, it is hoped that the study in this chapter will be an inspiration for action to encourage the implementation of the concept of Islamic economic law for the welfare of the people. The actual themes presented in this book are worth highlighting considering that the discourse on economic prosperity is a central theme in many discussions, along with economic progress which sometimes still favors various segments, which ultimately results in economic inequality and marginalization becoming a common phenomenon. For this reason, various contributions are highly expected as a solution to this problem. Islam, as a religion that is rahmatan lil'alamin, certainly has political-legal-economic values that can contribute - even at a certain level are mandatory - to the resolution of these problems.
