Homward is record-keeping software for a residents' association. The member register, the maintenance dues, the receipts, the expenses and the notices sit in one place, and every resident sees their own. WHAT YOUR SOCIETY GETS A member register Households by unit, with relation, occupation, blood group and a photograph. Every field is optional except the one that matters: a household head and an office bearer keep a contactable number. Residents can reach each other without a spreadsheet being passed around on WhatsApp. Maintenance dues that raise themselves Set a fee schedule — monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annual — and the bills for every unit are raised from it. Correcting an amount is a separate, named act, so a fee edited today never quietly rewrites a bill already issued. Receipts, and an honest trail behind them The committee records a payment and the receipt is issued with a sequential number. Part payments are supported. A cancelled receipt stays cancelled on the record and a refund is entered as its own document, because a receipt is evidence that money was received and that does not stop being true later. Expenses and the society's books Committee members enter what was spent, with the bill attached; an administrator approves it. A claim awaiting approval is not yet spending, and the reports say so. Notices that reach the right people Post to everyone or to the committee alone. An announcement addressed to the committee is delivered to the committee, and nobody else. Reports the association actually needs Collection register, receipt register, defaulters with ageing, and income and expenditure. Every one of them exports to CSV. Letterheaded correspondence Build the society's letterhead once and write letters on it, in English or in Malayalam, and print or save them as PDF from the web app. HOMWARD DOES NOT TAKE PAYMENTS No money passes through this app. You pay your society however it has asked — cash, bank transfer, UPI or cheque — and a member of the committee records that payment, which is what produces your receipt. A receipt in Homward is your society's acknowledgement, not ours. HOW ACCESS WORKS You cannot sign yourself up. Your society's administrator grants you access against your entry in the register, and your mobile number is your login. A one-time code proves the number once, at activation; after that it is your number and your password. BUILT SO ONE SOCIETY CANNOT SEE ANOTHER Every society's data is separated in the database itself, not merely hidden in the app, so a screen you cannot see is also a record you cannot read. Within a society, a resident sees their own household, their own dues and their own receipts. The committee sees what its job requires. Your contact details are yours to withhold: leave your number or email blank and it is simply not published to other residents.
