Homie is a shared home for the things a household actually runs on: the shopping list, the bills, the maintenance jobs, the warranty paperwork, the car, the pets, the recipes. It runs on your own server. There is no Homie account and no Homie cloud — you point the app at a backend you control, and your family's data stays there. Setup is a server address on first launch. SHOPPING A shared list everyone can add to, organised by supermarket departments, with quantity steppers and checked items collected at the bottom. Separate lists for hardware and general odds and ends. Import a supermarket delivery-note PDF and Homie learns what you buy and how often — then a "worth buying" section at the top of the list tells you what you are due to rebuy, and why. The file is read on your own server and discarded; only the product lines are kept, and no AI service ever sees it. A pantry view tracks what is running low, automatically or by hand. BILLS Log what the household owes and pays, with categories, due dates, currencies and attached files. Import a bill from a photo, a PDF, or pasted text. MAINTENANCE Recurring jobs on a weekly or monthly schedule, and one-off tasks with a single due date. Overdue work is obvious at a glance. DOCUMENTS Warranty documentation with expiry reminders, and a general archive for everything else. Import from the camera, your photo library, the Files app, or by sharing a PDF to Homie straight from Mail. Share a document with specific family members or keep it to yourself. VEHICLES Fuel log with economy tracking, service history, and an at-a-glance dashboard for registration, insurance and the next service due. PETS Profiles with photos, plus a record of care events — vet visits, treatments, grooming. RECIPES Save recipes from a link or a photo. Cook with step timers that keep running on the Lock Screen while you get on with it. AND THE REST Weather, a family calendar view, a Friday-night dinner poll, and — if you run Home Assistant — air conditioner and water heater control. Home Screen widgets, a customisable home layout, Face ID or passcode lock, Hebrew and English with full right-to-left support, and metric or US units. PRIVACY Data goes to your server and nowhere else. No analytics, no tracking, no third-party accounts. The AI features are optional and use an API key you supply yourself; without one, nothing is sent anywhere. REQUIREMENTS A server you can run the Homie backend on. Air conditioner and water heater control additionally require Home Assistant on your home network.
