Homeoke turns songs you already own into karaoke. Add a track from your phone and Homeoke separates the vocals out of it — on the device, in a few seconds. What's left is the backing, ready to sing over. WHAT IT DOES • Removes the vocals. A separation model runs on your phone, so your music is never uploaded anywhere. • Shifts the key. Move a song up or down to suit your range, without changing its speed. Change it mid-song if you pitched it wrong. • Shows the lyrics, in time. Homeoke looks them up automatically and scrolls them as the song plays. If a song isn't found, search for it by hand or paste the words in yourself. • Shows the notes a song asks for, so you know before you start whether it sits in your range. • Records you singing. Play back your take, balance your voice against the music, and keep the ones you like. Recordings stay on your phone. • Marks up the words. Long-press a phrase and tag it — head voice, breath here, don't rush — and the mark stays on that phrase, in the lyrics, whenever you come back to the song. The marks show while you sing, while you review a take, and while you play a kept recording back. • Plays through anything. Because it uses the normal audio path, it works with AirPlay, Bluetooth speakers and headphones. A SONG TO START WITH Homeoke comes with "Gravity" by Josh Woodward, used under a Creative Commons licence, so there's something to sing the moment you open it. BRING YOUR OWN MUSIC Homeoke has no music catalogue and cannot download songs. It works on audio files you already have — add them from Files, or send them to Homeoke from any other app using the share sheet. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT No account. No sign-in. No analytics, no ads, no tracking. Your songs and your recordings stay on your phone, and deleting the app deletes all of it. The only thing that ever leaves the device is a song's title and artist, sent to a public lyrics catalogue to find the words. Homeoke is made by one person. If something is wrong or missing, the support page has an email address and it goes straight to me.
