Store description excerpt
Invitation to the EU IHI (Innovative Health Initiative) Research Project Thank you for your interest. This app is exclusively for individuals who have pre-registered and been accepted as participants in the EU Horizon Health Research Project, approved research study conducted by Active Ageing Association. The App includes an Android Phone app and a Wear OS app, which are not for public use and cannot be accessed by the general public. Access is granted only after a participant has completed the required screening and consent procedures offline with the research team. Purpose of the Android Phone App The sole purpose of this Android phone application is to securely collect Samsung Health data from authorized participants for the duration of the study. All data collected is for research and analysis purposes only. The app does not provide any medical advice, diagnoses, feedback, or management recommendations. Key Data Collected for Research By connecting with your Samsung Health, the app will collect data in background to the user trial study, including: • Exercise and Steps: Logging and aggregating your physical activity levels for user trial activity research. • Heart Rate: Tracking your heart rate patterns for user trial heart condition research. • Sleep Duration: Monitoring your sleep patterns over time for user trial sleep quality research. • Nutrition: Logging nutritional data and food photos for user trial food nutrition research. Purpose of the Wear OS Watch App The sole purpose of this Wear OS watch application is to collect raw sensor data from authorized Wear OS devices, including: • Photoplethysmography (PPG): For detailed heart rate and blood flow analysis for user trial study. • Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA): For body composition measurements during user trial, user profile (Year of Birth, Height, Weight and Gender) is required for BIA calculation on device but the user profile is not collected to server. • Skin Temperature: To monitor temperature fluctuations for user trial study. • Heart Rate + IBI: For detailed post processed heart rate and IBI analysis for user trial study. It is part of the clinical research study focused on Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) detection. Continuous heart rate data is essential to identify pulse irregularities and tachycardia episodes that are primary indicators of AFib. Without this access, the app’s core research function—monitoring heart rhythm for AFib patterns—cannot be performed. • Oxygen saturation (SpO2): This data is required for the app's stress-level research feature. Peripheral oxygen saturation (SpO_2) is a key physiological marker used alongside heart rate variability to assess respiratory response to physiological stress. The app records this data to calculate and provide users with a 'Stress Index' report. "USE_EXACT_ALARM" permission is required to support app core functionalities to send user daily reminders at precise time. Participant Privacy and Informed Consent • I
