Store description excerpt

HazSight puts the 2024 Emergency Response Guidebook in your pocket — no signal, no account, no waiting. Type a UN number or look up a chemical name, and you get the exact ERG 2024 guidance in seconds: initial isolation distances, protective action zones, fire response, spill response, first-aid guidance, and reactivity warnings. The full guidebook ships inside the app — works in a basement, a tunnel, or the middle of a derailment, when cell service is the first thing to go. CIVILIAN MODE — Calm, plain-English guidance for the public. Built around "If this is an emergency, call 911" first, then practical "do this / don't do this" steps tailored to whether you see fire, spill, vapor, or just an unknown placard nearby. RESPONDER MODE — The same ERG 2024 data with the responder layout: isolation circle, protective-action quadrant, BLEVE indicators, daytime/nighttime distance tables, Table 1/2/3 references at a tap. Designed for the dashboard or the staging area, not the desk. EVACUATION MAP — Pick your location (or use GPS) and HazSight draws the actual isolation circle and protective-action arc on a real map, with wind direction and a scale bar in the units you understand (feet or yards, meters, miles or kilometers). PRIVACY — All lookups happen on-device. No analytics. No tracking. No account. Optional AI camera mode (for identifying placards from a photo) runs entirely on your phone with no network calls. ON-DEVICE AI (optional) — On capable phones (6+ GB RAM, A12 chip or newer), HazSight can identify placards from a camera frame using an on-device language model. The feature is opt-in, the model never downloads on incapable phones, and the text-search path is always available as the default. LANGUAGES — English, Spanish, French (more in progress). HazSight is decision-support, not a replacement for trained emergency response. If this is an emergency, call 911. Always defer to qualified responders on scene. Bundled data: 2024 Emergency Response Guidebook (DOT/Transport Canada/SCT public domain). HazSight has no affiliation with DOT.
