Store description excerpt

Harmony of the Gospels puts the four accounts of the Savior's life next to each other, so you can see at a glance who recorded what — and read every passage without leaving the app. The harmony follows 335 events across eight sections, from the prologue and the ministry of John the Baptist through the Atonement and the Resurrection. Each event shows what Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John wrote, along with latter-day revelation where it applies. The full King James text of all four gospels is included — 4,439 verses — so the whole harmony reads with no network connection. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Compare the accounts side by side. On iPad and Mac the gospel columns sit next to one another; on iPhone they stack in order. • See at a glance which writers recorded an event, with a badge for each book. • Search everything — event titles, places, scripture references, and the verse text itself. A multi-word search looks for the exact phrase first, then falls back to entries containing every word, and quotation marks force an exact phrase. • Type references the short way: mt 5, lk 2, and jn 1 all work. • Filter by section, by place, by which books report an event, by parables, or by events with more than one witness. • Open the harmony table on iPad and Mac for the classic grid view of the whole ministry. • Bookmark events, and let the app keep track of what you have read. • Read comfortably: dark mode, Dynamic Type, adjustable scripture size, a serif or sans-serif typeface, and selectable text. FOR STUDY, NOT FOR DATA No account. No advertising. No analytics. No network connection required. Bookmarks and reading progress stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. SOURCES The references were adapted from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints website, and every reference in the app links back to the official page it came from. The scripture text is the public-domain King James Version.
