Store description excerpt
Feel your way to the answer. HapLab is a haptics laboratory for iPhone: try the full vocabulary of the Core Haptics engine, combine it freely, and save what feels right. A design tool for people who build apps — and a playground for anyone who loves a good click. ■ PAD — touch and play - Perform intensity and sharpness in real time on an XY surface - Three modes: TAP (one hit), STREAM (sustained), BURST (repeats at 2–40 Hz) - Light and vibration follow your finger while you touch ■ DICT — a dictionary of touch - 44 samples that move one parameter at a time: intensity, sharpness, texture, envelopes, curves, rhythm - Compare with the built-in iOS feedback (Impact / Selection / Notification) - A/B the same haptic with and without sound ■ COMP — compose vibrations - Place transients, sustains and synth sounds on a timeline - Carve intensity, sharpness and envelopes (attack / decay / release) with sliders - Modulate over time with intensity and sharpness curves, then loop and listen ■ LIB — remix the presets - 12 presets: heartbeat, raindrops, engine, glass, alarm and more - Open one, tweak it, save it as your own (free plan saves up to 3) ■ Light and sound as controls - Toggle screen flash, glow, particles, torch (real LED) and synth sounds one by one - Decompose what "feels good" into its parts ■ HapLab Pro (one-time purchase) - Unlimited pattern saves - JSON export — take the numbers you found into your own apps - JSON import — play and remix shared patterns ■ Privacy - No data collection. No ads. Your patterns stay on your device. Haptic playback requires an iPhone with a Taptic Engine. The simulator and some older models cannot play haptics.
