HandIt is where you find someone nearby to help with everyday jobs, or borrow a tool from a neighbour instead of buying one you will use twice. Post what you need, get applicants from your area, pick the person you like and pay by card, safely. There is no agency in the middle and no subscription to browse. You set the price, you choose who does the work, and the money goes to the person who actually did it. WHAT PEOPLE HIRE HELP FOR House cleaning, deep cleaning, end of tenancy and post renovation cleaning. Moving and hauling, with or without a van and a couple of pairs of hands. Furniture assembly, including flat pack, shelves, wardrobes and kitchen units. Home maintenance and small repairs, from a shelf on the wall to a door that no longer closes. Painting and decorating. A plumber for a dripping tap or an electrician for a dead socket. Gardening, lawn mowing, hedge trimming and yard clean up. Dog walking, pet sitting and vet runs. Junk removal, rubbish clearance and tip runs. Grocery shopping, errands and local delivery. Tutoring and lessons in maths, languages or coding. Automotive help, from a tyre change to a garage drop off. Tech and IT support for a laptop, a phone or the home network. Photography, video and design for events. Party and event setup. Nineteen categories in total, so there is room for the job that fits nowhere else. BORROW AND RENT FROM NEIGHBOURS Buying a rotary hammer for two holes makes no sense. On HandIt you can borrow or rent out tools and equipment, electronics, books and media, kitchen gear, sports and outdoor kit, bikes and trailers, clothing for occasions, garden tools, musical instruments, games consoles, and baby and kids items. Every borrow carries a deposit held through Stripe, so the lender is covered too. HOW IT WORKS 1. Post the job. Say what you need, when, and what you will pay. Posting is free. 2. Get applicants. See each person's profile, reviews and trust score. 3. Pick one and pay by card. The amount is held until the work is finished. 4. Confirm with a QR code. It is scanned at handover and the payment is released. PAID STRAIGHT TO THE BANK Helpers connect their bank account through Stripe Connect and get paid there, in their own currency. We do not hold money in an in-app wallet and there is nothing to withdraw. WHAT IT COSTS Posting a job is free. A commission applies only when a job completes: 10 percent from the person doing the work and a 5 percent service fee from the person paying. The Plus subscription is optional. SAFETY AND TRUST Real reviews on every profile, a trust score, in-app chat, phone verification, the option to report or block someone, and a dispute process with photo evidence if something goes wrong.
