Store description excerpt

Pick the reward first. Then go earn it. Ransom holds the thing you actually want - the shoes, the book, the dinner out - until the habit is in place. HOW IT WORKS 1. Pick the reward first. 2. Pick the habit that will earn it. 3. Log your days. The reward unlocks when you reach the goal you set. TWO KINDS OF HABITS Habits you keep - running, studying, reading, stretching. Set the goal by count (30 sessions) or by period (July 1-31, daily, which works out to 31 times - the app does the math). Every log moves you closer. Habits you quit - smoking, drinking, snacking, late nights. No daily tapping needed. Ransom shows what quitting has been worth to you: the amount you would have spent per day, multiplied by the days you have kept it up. When that figure reaches the price of your reward, it unlocks. This figure is an on-screen estimate. No money is deposited, saved into an account, or moved anywhere. WHAT MAKES IT STICK The reward is real, and it waits. A checkmark is not much of a prize. Here the prize is the thing you actually wanted - and it stays out of reach until the habit is in place. Today has to be logged today. Each day is logged by the end of that day (23:59). You cannot go back and fill in yesterday, so the history you look at later is the one that really happened. One bad day is not the end. Missing a day costs you nothing - habits you keep never lose progress. For habits you quit, reporting a slip sets you back one day - it does not wipe out what you have already done. "I bought it anyway." If you give in and buy the reward early, you can say so. Ransom records it, moves you on to the next reward, and does not lecture you about it. Pick the tone of voice. Gentle, normal, or blunt. It changes the reminders, the deadline messages, and what you read when a reward unlocks. Reminders you set yourself. One in the morning, one in the afternoon, per habit - or none at all. You choose whether your habit and reward names appear on the lock screen. WHAT YOU CAN SEE - Your whole week at a glance - Total logs and your current best streak - How many more logs each reward needs - What quitting has been worth so far (estimate) - Photos and notes from the days you logged ALONE, ON PURPOSE No feed, no followers, no leaderboard, nobody to measure yourself against. If you want to show someone a reward you unlocked, you can share it yourself, but the app posts nothing anywhere on its own. The only voice in here is the one you chose, talking to you. FREE AND PRO Free: one habit to keep and one habit to quit. Your totals, streaks, and the amounts stay free forever - those are the numbers that tell you how you are doing, so they are never locked away. Pro: as many habits as you want, photos and notes from before the last 30 days, and cloud backup for your photos. Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, available monthly or yearly. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or
