Store description excerpt
Sometimes you pick up your phone simply because you are bored. Before you realize it, you are already scrolling short videos or social media. GuardRail gives you a moment to choose again before opening apps you selected. It does not discipline you or permanently lock anything. It helps you keep a decision you made with a clear mind. Getting started is simple: 1. Choose the apps you want to open less 2. Turn on GuardRail 3. Next time, pause and decide whether you really need to open one GuardRail provides: • First-person prompts while the final choice remains yours • A 10-minute access window by default after confirmation • A separate daily opening count for each app • A daily plan of 9 openings by default, followed by shorter 3-minute windows • The ability to pause or change protected apps at any time • Light, dark, or system appearance Your selected apps, rules, and opening counts stay on your device. GuardRail requires no account, shows no ads, and does not track your activity. GuardRail uses Apple's Screen Time permission. Because scheduling is managed by iOS, the reminder at the end of an access window may occasionally be slightly delayed. GuardRail is free to download, and all core features are available without payment. The app offers three optional, repeatable support purchases. They do not unlock extra features or affect normal use.
