GridGrabber finds coordinates hidden in messy text and turns them into clear, usable location data — privately on your device, with core processing that works offline. BUILT FOR MESSY TEXT Coordinates rarely arrive neatly formatted. They may be buried in a message, field report, note, copied map link, or other text — mixed with times, names, instructions, and unrelated information. Paste it as it is. GridGrabber scans the text, finds supported coordinate formats, and presents detected locations as individual candidates. You do not need to clean up the input first. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your pasted text and coordinates are processed locally on your device. No account. No analytics or telemetry. No activity history. GridGrabber can remember useful preferences without remembering the text and coordinates you worked on. WORKS OFFLINE Core coordinate detection, parsing, normalization, review, copying, and export work without an internet connection. That matters when coverage is unavailable or unreliable — and when you simply do not want location data sent to an online service. Some supported map links may require network access when they need to be resolved by the map provider. NO GUESSING GridGrabber keeps the detected source and the resulting location distinct, so you can see how a coordinate was interpreted. Incomplete or unclear input is not silently presented as unquestionable fact. Review a candidate when you want to. Use a valid result directly when you need to. The choice remains yours. SUPPORTED COORDINATES GridGrabber detects and normalizes supported forms of: • MGRS • UTM • Decimal Degrees (DD) • Degrees, Minutes, Seconds (DMS) It can also extract coordinates from supported Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Waze links. FROM TEXT TO WHERE YOU NEED IT Once GridGrabber finds the locations, you decide what happens next. Open a point directly in your selected map app. Copy a coordinate and paste it into a navigation app, message, report, note, or another tool. Copy multiple detected locations, with optional labels when you need to keep the points identifiable. Export an individual point or multiple locations as KML or GPX for use in compatible mapping and navigation apps. This also makes the workflow useful when you are offline. Coordinates received earlier in a message can still be extracted, normalized, copied, and exported without a network connection, then handed to an offline-capable mapping or navigation app. GridGrabber does not try to replace your map, navigation, messaging, or reporting tools.
