Store description excerpt
Most farm apps leave your records in separate piles. A note here, a spray record there, a soil test sitting in your email, the harvest tallied on the back of a feed sack. Golden Acres ties them together, so a field creates a season, the season pulls in your tasks, weather, soil tests and stock, and a harvest traces back to the seed lot it came from. It isn't an encyclopaedia and it isn't an automatic agronomist. It keeps the facts you've confirmed, shows you where any outside figure came from and when it was last updated, and turns scattered notes into a season log that actually holds together. When it suggests a work window or reads a photo, that's flagged as a hint with its source and freshness. The decision on treatments, rates and safety stays with you, off the label and the official rules. The loop is straightforward. Set up your farm and fields, open a crop season, jot down observations and lab results, build tasks and work windows around real conditions, reserve and draw down actual stock lots, log every harvest load, then close the season and get a traceable report where any total opens straight back to the record behind it. A few things it does on purpose. It starts you on an honest empty screen, not a demo farm full of made-up fields. It won't quietly delete something other records depend on, it lists what will be affected and offers you a way back. It never dresses a stale figure up as current, and it won't treat a blank you haven't filled in as a zero. Where it can't identify something from a photo, it says so plainly rather than guessing. Over a few seasons it earns its keep. Real work dates, the wet days that stopped you, water and inputs used, yield by field, the batch history, and plans you can reuse. Compare two seasons and it will only line them up when the units and areas genuinely match, and it shows you the source behind every figure rather than a tidy chart with nothing underneath it. Signing in is only needed where you want to sync. Add your first field and start building the record.
