Gluten-free food costs more. Gluten Gap tells you how much more. Photograph a grocery receipt and Gluten Gap reads the line items, identifies your gluten-free purchases, and looks up what the standard, gluten-containing version of each product costs. The difference — the gap — is added up for you. HOW IT WORKS 1. Take a photo of your grocery receipt, or pick one from your library. 2. Gluten Gap reads every line item and flags the gluten-free substitutes. 3. For each one, it searches for a comparable regular product and its current price. 4. You get a per-item breakdown and a total. Not everything is flagged correctly every time, so you can add or remove any item on the receipt before the comparison runs. FAIR SIZE-FOR-SIZE COMPARISONS A 12 oz gluten-free loaf compared against a 20 oz regular loaf is not a real comparison. Gluten Gap works out the price per ounce for both and scales the regular product to the size you actually bought, so the difference reflects like for like. The workings are shown on every item, so you can check them. CHOOSE YOUR COMPARISON Some people want the largest defensible difference, others want the closest match. Pick one in Settings: • Cheapest — compares against the lowest-priced regular option • Best match — compares against a mainstream, similarly positioned product • Premium — compares against an organic or premium regular product KEEP A RECORD Save any scan to your history. Gluten Gap groups your saved receipts by month with running totals, so you can see what you have spent over time. Copy a plain-text summary of any scan — item names, both prices, the size basis, and the difference — to paste into an expenses form, a spreadsheet, or an email. Your saved history is stored on your device. FREE AND SUBSCRIPTION Every account includes 5 free scans. After that, a subscription gives you 30 scans per month.
