Choose one spoken language and one subtitle language for conversations, podcasts, journaling, and review. Your conversations and language content stay on your device. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Speech recognition and translation happen on your device using Apple's frameworks. We do not upload your audio, captions, translations, journal entries, or saved words to our servers. No account is required. Optional anonymous crash and performance diagnostics are off by default and sent only if you opt in. They are not linked to your identity and never include your language content. LIVE LISTENING • Transcribe one selected spoken language in real time • Translate captions into another supported language • Turn translation off for transcription-only captions • Swap the spoken and subtitle languages between sessions LEARN WITH PODCASTS • Discover and download authentic podcasts • Follow source-language captions and optional translations while listening • Keep downloaded episodes available in your library JOURNAL AND REVIEW • Write or record journal entries, then translate and revisit them • Save useful words and phrases from captions with context and pronunciation • Keep recordings with their transcripts and translations • Review local audio storage and remove recordings when you no longer need them REQUIREMENTS Requires iOS 26 or later because GiraffeGuru uses Apple's latest on-device speech recognition and translation frameworks. Initial speech and translation language downloads require an internet connection and available device storage. Podcast discovery and downloads require internet access. Language availability and performance vary by region, installed resources, and device hardware.
