GhostCam turns your phone into a discreet camera. Take photos or record video while the screen is black, while you are using another app, or while a web browser is open on top. Everything you capture stays on your phone. For the moments you need proof and cannot hold up a phone: a road incident, a workplace or landlord dispute, harassment, a market deal, a lecture or a meeting you have to document. THREE WAYS TO SHOOT - Background mode: the camera keeps running while you use WhatsApp, a browser, or any other app. - Black screen mode: the screen stays dark and the phone looks switched off while it records. - Browser mode: a real, working web browser fills the screen while the camera records behind it. BUILT TO STAY OUT OF SIGHT - Volume key control: volume down to shoot, volume up to stop. Nothing to tap on screen. - No preview, no capture animation, no shutter sound (some countries require a shutter sound by law). - Album inside the app, so your captures are not mixed into your camera roll. - Private album: captures other gallery apps cannot find. - Fingerprint lock: GhostCam asks for your fingerprint before it opens. - App disguise: GhostCam sits on your home screen as an ordinary app named "Browser". - Quick start: open the app straight into background photo or background video mode. - Works in 11 languages: English, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish. PERMISSIONS, AND WHY GHOSTCAM ASKS - Camera: to take photos and record video. - Microphone: to record sound with your video. - Display over other apps: to keep the camera running while another app is in front. - Photos and media: to save your captures and show them in the album. - Ignore battery optimization (optional): stops Android from cutting long recordings short. GhostCam does not use Accessibility services, and does not ask for your contacts, location or messages. YOUR FILES STAY YOURS Photos and videos are saved on your device only. GhostCam never uploads them to us or to anyone else. The app uses Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for crash and usage statistics, and Google AdMob to show ads; see the Data safety section on this page for details. USE IT RESPONSIBLY GhostCam is made for recording your own surroundings and your own situation.
