This is a simple calculator app built for the U.S. Natural Gas Transmission and Distribution pipeline industry. The app can perform basic pipeline engineering calculations using standard formulas and functions. Currently Supported Calculations: - Percent SMYS (Specified Minimum Yield Strength) - Steel Pipe Design Pressure - Gas Velocity - Gas Flow Rate - Hydrotest Pressures (Spike & Non-Spike) - Hydrotest % SMYS - Hydrotest Water Volume - Hydrotest ASME B31.8S Integrity Reassessment Interval - Plastic Pipe Design Pressure - AGA Blowdown Time - Elbow Bend Radius Geometry (used for piggability) - PDF Report Generation Planned Future Support For: - Nitrogen Purge Slug Sizing (per AGA) - API RP 1102 Wheel Loading Instructions for use: This app is laid out with tabs and each tab supports a specific calculation. 1. Enter the pipe specifications on either the "Steel Pipe Specs" tab or "Plastic Pipe Specs" tab. 2. Navigate to the tab for the calculation you would like to perform and select either Steel or Plastic Pipe Specs (this will reference the pipe specifications from the selected tab). Enter all additional inputs, then click the calculate button. 3. Results will be displayed on each tab below the inputs section. 4. Most calculations use inputs from the selected Pipe Specs tab, so be sure those values are correct when performing additional calculations or re-calculating with new values.
