Fuel8 is a calorie and macro tracker for iPhone. Everything you log stays on your phone. The whole app is built around one number: how long it takes to log a meal. Search runs against a food database bundled in the app, so results appear as you type, with no network connection at all. WHAT IT DOES • Search 13,521 generic foods offline, ranked for food rather than for text • Scan a barcode to look up a packaged product, cached afterwards so the second scan needs no internet • Say or type what you ate — "chicken breast 200g, white rice, a tablespoon of olive oil" — and confirm every item before it's logged • Quick add raw calories and macros when you don't want to find a food • Save a plate you eat often and log the whole thing in two taps • Log to any past day, and correct a portion you got wrong without deleting and starting again • Track water with one tap, in ml and litres • Ask "What can I eat?" and see foods that fit what's left of the day • Log your weight and see it as a 7-day weighted average, with the raw readings dimmed behind it • Set calorie and macro targets in grams, with the formula shown in Settings and refined by body fat if you know yours • Write your meals to Apple Health, and see your steps and active energy beside the day BRITISH FOOD NAMES The nutrition data is in American units, so Fuel8 translates. Beef mince, courgette, prawns, rocket and aubergine all return food instead of nothing. Chips and crisps map to the right things, both ways.
