Store description excerpt
Fretwork is a guitar reference that derives everything from music theory — so it isn't limited to the tunings and instruments someone thought to put in a table. Most chord and scale apps ship a fixed database of shapes: standard tuning, a handful of others, six strings, and that's the edge of the map. Fretwork has no database. Every chord shape, scale position, and voicing is worked out on the spot from the notes themselves. Change the tuning, add or drop a string, hand it an instrument it's never seen — and it just keeps working. What's inside: • Chords — every chord type from triads to altered 13ths, with real playable voicings ranked by how they actually sit under your hand. • Scales — major, minor, the modes, harmonic and melodic minor, jazz, altered, symmetric, and world scales, across the whole neck, with the chords and progressions inside each. • CAGED — the five shapes laid out along one neck, color-coded and connected, so you can finally see how they link end to end. • Circle of Fifths — every key, its diatonic chords, and how they pull toward home. • Tab reading — a short, interactive lesson, with every example playable. • Tuner — listens through your microphone and tunes to any tuning, including custom ones. All processing happens on your device. • Metronome — adjustable tempo, beats, subdivisions, eight click sounds, tap tempo, and volume. Any tuning. Any string count. Nothing looked up. No accounts. No ads. No tracking. Nothing you do ever leaves your device.
