It sits above your other windows so you stay visible while you present, record, stream, or follow a tutorial. Drag it, resize it, snap it to a corner, or make it click-through so it never gets in the way. YOUR LOOK Choose a circle, pill, squircle, star, and more. Add a ring, a gradient border, and a soft shadow. Zoom, pan, mirror, or freeze the frame. Face tracking keeps you centered; auto-zoom can tighten the shot as you move. BACKGROUND Keep the room, blur it, replace it with a solid color for chroma key, or cut yourself out so only you appear. Tune segmentation quality and edge blend for hair and fine detail. OVERLAYS FOR CREATORS • Labels for titles, notes, and lower-thirds • Live captions from your microphone • Key overlay that shows what you type — ideal for software demos • Photo overlays for logos, slides, or reference images • Shortcut overlay that lists FloatingCam’s hotkeys on screen (hidden from recordings by default) WORKS WITH YOUR SETUP Use the built-in camera, Continuity Camera, Desk View, or an external webcam. Pick resolution and frame rate, hide the overlay from screen capture when you want a private view, and save presets such as Clean Circle, Cutout, Cinematic Pill, and Green Screen. CONTROL IT FROM ANYWHERE Global shortcuts work in every app. Show or hide the overlay, change shape and background, zoom, nudge, and snap to corners without leaving what you’re doing. Launch at login and it stays out of the Dock until you need it. FloatingCam is built for teachers, streamers, presenters, and anyone who wants a polished on-screen camera without a complicated production stack. Permissions Camera is used for the live overlay. Microphone and Speech Recognition are used only when a caption overlay is on. Input Monitoring is used only when a key overlay is on, so typed shortcuts can appear on screen.
