Store description excerpt

Your models and agents are quietly eating the disk. Forge shows you exactly how much, and what is safe to clear. Forge for AI: Storage Cleaner is a review first storage tool. It looks in the known cache locations in your home folder, lists every target with its exact size, full path and risk tier, then does nothing until you say so. Nothing is queued on your behalf, and nothing is ever permanently deleted. AI TOOLING, NAMED AND MEASURED This is what a general cleaner cannot do. Local AI tools scatter gigabytes across your home folder in places nothing else recognises. A model library looks like any other folder. The AI and Models screen groups everything by the tool that made it, including Claude, Codex, Ollama, LM Studio, Hugging Face, PyTorch, MLX, Whisper, Cursor and local agents. Then it draws a line most cleaners never draw: Regenerable caches: download caches and runtimes, fetched again on demand. Forge clears these. Models and history: model weights, session transcripts, assistant data. Forge will NOT remove these at all. It shows the size and opens Finder. That second category is usually the larger one, and that is the point. A local model can be tens of gigabytes and just as many to download again. Session transcripts are a record of your work, sometimes the only copy. Forge measures them honestly and leaves them alone. WHAT ELSE IT LOOKS AT App caches, command line tool caches and logs Xcode DerivedData, Archives, Device Support and simulators Homebrew, pip, npm, pnpm, Yarn, Cargo and Gradle package caches Browser caches, and Puppeteer, Playwright and Cypress binaries Docker data, the iCloud and CloudKit cache, your Trash (reveal only) THREE RISK TIERS, ON EVERY ITEM Safe: regenerable caches your tools rebuild themselves. One click queues the lot. Review: manual opt in. Replaceable, but it costs time and bandwidth. Reveal Only: never removed. Large personal files, model libraries, agent history, Docker data, your Trash. NOTHING IS PERMANENTLY DELETED Not "safely deleted". Not shredded. Not gone. Everything Forge removes goes to the macOS Trash, restorable until you empty it yourself. Change your mind and drag it back. A GATE THAT RECHECKS AT THE MOMENT OF REMOVAL Selecting an item is not enough. At the instant it moves, not back when it was scanned, it is retested against an allowlist of known regenerable caches and a denylist of protected locations: Documents, Desktop, Downloads, Pictures, Movies, Music, Mail, Messages, iCloud Drive, keychains, SSH and GPG keys, cloud credentials, Git repositories. The denylist always wins. Anything that fails is skipped, and Forge says so. PREVIEW BEFORE YOU COMMIT Preview (Dry Run) runs the entire pipeline, safety checks included, and reports exactly what would move, touching nothing. SEE THE SHAPE OF YOUR HOME FOLDER Storage Map draws your usage as a treemap sized by what each folder holds, with a largest first list alongside. Drill down and reveal in Finder. The map never removes
