Store description excerpt
Divorce hands you sixty things to do and no order to do them in. Footing gives you the order. Answer six questions and get a ninety-day plan built around your situation: whether you've decided yet, kids or not, a house or not, whose insurance you're on. Then Footing asks for two minutes a morning. STILL DECIDING? Say so in the first question and you get a different ninety days. Not a divorce plan — a plan for reaching a decision you can stand behind. What's actually wrong, what repair would genuinely require, what each road costs, and what you'd need either way. Nothing in it assumes you're leaving, it takes staying as seriously as going, and the decision lands on day 60 in your own words. ONE THING TODAY Every day surfaces exactly one action. Not a list. One thing, with the reason it matters and what happens if it slips. THE UNTANGLING CHECKLIST More than a hundred tasks across three phases, filtered down to the ones that are yours. Passwords and location sharing on day one. Beneficiaries, the will, the W-4, the QDRO, the house, the insurance in weeks five to eight. The budget, the emergency fund, and the people in your life in weeks nine to thirteen. Each deadline is dated, and Footing reminds you a week out and the day before. THE URGE BUTTON The 2 a.m. message. The "just checking in" text. One button, four things to do instead: breathe, write it here instead in a journal that cannot send, read the contact rule you wrote on day two, or wait ten minutes. Your no-contact count lives here too. A slip resets it. That's all it does. SUNDAY REVIEW Every Sunday, your coach reads your check-ins, what got done, what slipped, and what's due, and writes you a short review in plain language. Then it asks for three commitments. Small ones count, and last week's are checked on. HARD DAYS The anniversary. Their birthday. The first holiday without the kids. Footing sees them coming and helps you plan the day a week early, while it's easy. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT The app never says "divorce" on your home screen. Check-ins and the journal stay on your phone. The companion web app stores your plan under an access code, not your name or email. NOT SUGAR-COATED No streak shaming. No "healing journey." A slipped day gets "That's fine. It's still on the list." Footing is organized information, not legal, financial, or medical advice. Deadlines are conservative defaults and vary by state; every legal task tells you when to bring in a lawyer. If you're in crisis, call or text 988. SUBSCRIPTION Footing requires a subscription: $9.99 monthly or $49.99 yearly. The yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings.
