Fonotex Kids is a book app where children read aloud in their own voices. The child reads, the app listens, and the scene comes to life. Reading becomes what drives the story forward. 📖 HOW IT WORKS • Children read the book on the screen aloud. • The app listens and compares what is being read to the book's own text. • As they read, the scene comes to life with 3D animation, and the characters move. • Turkish-specific matching tolerates children's pronunciation differences. • Voice recognition works on the device; the voice is not sent to a server. No one hears when children read silently. It's not clear if they've read anything or how much they've read. Fonotex Kids listens. 🎧 FOR CHILDREN WHO HAVEN'T YET LEARNED TO READ Children who are just learning letters start in Listen and Watch mode. Reading is not mandatory. • The story is read aloud, and children watch the scenes. • A parent sits next to the child, and they both look at the same screen. • They discuss the story together afterward. As children grow, the app grows with them: first the child listening, then the child reading aloud in their own voice. 📚 FOR CHILDREN STARTING TO READ • Reading aloud practice for 1st grade and elementary school age children. • Books are listed with age filters. • It's easy to find a level-appropriate book for children aged 6-12. 🍎 FOR TEACHERS AND CLASSES • Teachers create classes and share participation codes with students. • The panel lists the books read and the word count. • Can be used to track reading assignments. • For students whose parents have given consent, it shows which book they have read. • If there is no consent, that student's data will not appear in the panel. The server calculates the word count from the book's own text.
