Focus Posture is a Pomodoro-style focus timer with a built-in posture coach. Start a session, put on your AirPods, and the app uses their motion sensors to notice when your head drifts forward. A calm haptic on your iPhone or Apple Watch reminds you to sit up — never a buzzing alarm, never a guilt trip. Built for writers, designers, developers, students, and anyone who spends long stretches at a desk. HOW IT WORKS • Start a focus session of your chosen length, 10 to 90 minutes (default 25). • A quick 3-second calibration captures your neutral posture as the baseline. • During the session, AirPods motion data is read on-device, in real time. • When your head drifts past your threshold for 20+ seconds, a gentle haptic arrives on iPhone and Apple Watch. • Live pitch and time remaining appear on the iPhone screen, on the Lock Screen via Live Activity, in the Dynamic Island, and on Apple Watch. • Finish the session, review your stats, and save it to Apple Health as Mindful Minutes if you choose. WHY IT WORKS DIFFERENTLY Most reminder apps ping you on a fixed timer, hoping you'll be slouching when they fire. Focus Posture watches your actual posture in real time using AirPods sensors — so the nudge only arrives when you actually need it, and only during sessions you've chosen to start. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account. No cloud. No analytics. No third-party SDKs. • Motion data is read only while a session is active and the app is in the foreground. • Health data, if you opt in, is stored only by Apple Health, on your device. WORKS WITH Focus Posture needs AirPods with built-in motion sensors: • AirPods Pro (1st, 2nd, 3rd generation) • AirPods Max • AirPods (3rd generation) • AirPods 4 Standard AirPods (2nd generation) don't include the motion sensors needed for posture sensing.
