After you choose which apps you want to limit, FluentMode uses the Accessibility Service to detect when one of those selected apps is opened. The service is also used to measure time spent in selected apps and to display a blocking screen when your earned time runs out. This functionality is essential for FluentMode's core experience and only applies to apps explicitly selected by the user. FluentMode does not use the Accessibility Service to read screen content, collect personal text, capture keystrokes, or access sensitive information displayed in other apps. All app-blocking decisions occur locally on your device. Your app usage statistics and your list of installed apps stay on your device and are never uploaded. Learning progress and subscription status are securely synchronized with your account so they follow you across devices. FluentMode isn’t about removing your apps — it’s about changing how you use them.
