Wimmera Flood Maps gives you instant access to flood depth information across the Wimmera catchment in western Victoria, Australia. Built by the Wimmera Catchment Management Authority (Wimmera CMA), this app displays flood depth data from 13 completed flood investigations covering creeks, rivers and waterways throughout the region. Key features: (1) browse flood studies from across the Wimmera region including Horsham, Stawell, Halls Gap, Warracknabeal, Natimuk, Edenhope, Apsley and surrounding areas; (2) view detailed flood depth layers overlaid on a map with colour-coded depth ranges; (3) tap anywhere on the map to see the exact modelled flood depth at that point, with a link to the study's final report; (4) toggle individual flood studies and layers on and off; (5) zoom to specific flood study areas; (6) download studies and base layers to your device and use them offline, including the street basemap; (7) use your device GPS to locate yourself on the map and automatically show the studies covering your position; (8) search for any address or location within the region; (9) save bookmarks of map views you want to return to; (10) share your current map view with others; (11) switch between street and satellite basemaps; (12) show base layers such as study areas, rivers and streams, wetlands, river gauges, municipalities and parcels. This app uses flood investigation data published by Wimmera CMA as part of its floodplain management responsibilities under the Water Act 1989 (Victoria). The flood depth maps show modelled flood depths for design flood events and are intended for general information purposes.
