Store description excerpt
A cracked or dead inner screen is the most common way a Galaxy Z Flip dies, and the phone underneath usually still works perfectly. The battery is fine. The storage is fine. You just cannot reach any of it. Flip Rescue turns the cover screen into a complete control surface, so a broken Flip stays a working phone while you wait for a screen replacement, move your data off it, or save up for a new one. SET IT UP BEFORE YOU NEED IT Install it while the phone is healthy, grant two permissions, and Flip Rescue goes dormant. If the main screen ever dies, rescue standby is one tap away from the persistent notification or the quick settings tile, and both of those work on the cover screen. If your screen is already broken, you can still get there. The in-app guide covers installing from the Play website on a computer and bootstrapping the app entirely from the cover panel or a paired Bluetooth mouse. WHAT YOU GET A full launcher on the cover screen. Every installed app, a search field, and pinned favorites, sized for a 3.4 inch panel instead of squeezed down from a 6.7 inch layout. It is a real cover screen launcher, not a shortcut list. Floating navigation. Back, Home, Recents and the notification shade as an AssistiveTouch style bubble. This is the navigation bar for a phone whose gesture area is dead glass. A notification center. Read, open, reply to, archive, mark read and dismiss notifications without ever pulling down the system shade. Controls that matter in an emergency. Flashlight, media volume, screen brightness, and direct entry into Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and hotspot settings. An emergency toolkit for backup and data recovery. Export every contact to a .vcf file in Downloads, which any computer can read over USB. Pair a Bluetooth mouse or keyboard. Launch Smart Switch or the system backup flow. Dial a call from a keypad drawn at cover-screen size. Diagnostics. A copyable report of displays, permissions and launch results. Cover-screen behaviour differs between One UI builds, and you deserve a specific answer rather than a shrug. WHY YOU CAN TRUST IT No internet permission. Not a promise in a policy document, a technical fact of the package that Android enforces. This app cannot open a network socket, so nothing you do in it can leave your phone. You can verify it yourself in the app listing under Permissions. No analytics. No account. No ads. No subscription. One purchase. The accessibility service performs navigation actions only. It is configured so that it cannot read the content of your screen, and that restriction is part of the service's own declaration rather than a rule we promise to follow. HONEST ABOUT THE LIMITS Whether One UI lets a third-party app draw onto the cover display varies by firmware version. Flip Rescue tries the precise mechanism first, falls back to Samsung's own routing, and tells you exactly what happened in Diagnostics instead of failing silently. Supported devices: Galaxy Z Flip 5, Z Flip 6, Z Fli
