Forty-eight floors, a skyscraper full of robots, and one way up: land on their heads. Flatten Frenzy is an old-fashioned vertical arcade. No shooting, no power-ups, nothing to unlock: you climb, you flatten, and you keep the chain alive. Every stomp inside the combo window is worth more than the last, and one fall resets it — your score isn't what you did, it's what you didn't interrupt. Above the tenth floor the building changes colour and character. Four districts, from the orange sunset of the lower floors to the blinding light at the top, where two bosses are waiting and neither of them steps aside. • 48 floors generated fresh every run, never the same twice • Six minutes to reach the top, and an alarm clock that hands you another thirty seconds • Four difficulty levels, changing the speed of the world, the rain and where you resume • Two characters, Pep and Ada: same height, same jump • The daily run: the same building for everyone, its own record, always on hard • Keyboard, controller, remote or on-screen controls • No ads, no in-app purchases, no account, no connection On Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple TV: same game, controls that fit the device. On Apple TV the Siri Remote is supported, but a controller is strongly recommended: it makes the experience decidedly better. Flatten Frenzy descends from Squish'em (Sirius Software, 1983): same idea, same cruelty, half a century of screens in between.
