Store description excerpt
Flarebook is a plain, private diary for migraine, headache and chronic pain. It records what happened — when it started, how bad it got, what you took, what it might have been — and nothing else. It does not diagnose. It does not suggest medication. It does not predict tomorrow. You enter what you noticed; Flarebook keeps it and counts the days. WHEN IT HURTS TOO MUCH TO LOOK AT A SCREEN • The dark screen. Pure black, amber text, three large buttons, no animation and no haptics. Screen brightness drops on its own and goes back when you leave. Hold the main button to go straight into it, or put it on your Lock Screen. • One tap to start. From the app, the Lock Screen widget or the Shortcuts app. The timestamp is filled in behind you. WHAT IT RECORDS • All four phases separately: the warning signs, the aura, the headache itself and the days afterwards. Every time can be corrected later with a real date picker. Most attacks will have two of five filled in, and that is fine — no warnings, no nagging about incomplete data. • Severity over the course of an attack, not just one number at the end. • Medication, with the honest question two hours later: did it help? Not the moment you swallow it, when nobody knows yet. • Your acute medication days against the published ICHD-3 thresholds, counted by day and not by dose. It tells you the number and suggests raising it with your doctor. It will never tell you that you have medication overuse headache, and it will never suggest stopping anything. • Clear days too. Those are what make every pattern in this app mean something. HONEST PATTERNS, OR NONE Insights stay empty until there is enough to say something true. Every finding shows how many entries it is based on and says plainly that a correlation is not a cause. Flarebook will never tell you tomorrow looks risky — nothing in a diary can support that. THE REPORT FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT A single PDF: pain days, extra affected days, average severity and length, medication days, and the attack list. Generated on your device and never uploaded. The 30-day report is free and complete. YOUR DIARY STAYS YOURS No account. No email. No servers run by us. Entries live on your device and sync through your own private iCloud, which we cannot read. No third-party analytics, no advertising code. This version asks for no location permission and no Apple Health access at all. We will never send you a marketing notification. FREE, AND PRO Logging, the dark screen, reminders, the calendar, CSV export and the 30-day doctor report are free and stay free. Getting your own data back out is never something you pay for. Pro adds the reading of it over time: any date range in the report, no Flarebook line on the page, and every pattern rather than just the first one. Flarebook records what you enter. It is not a medical device and is not a substitute for your clinician. SUBSCRIPTION DETAILS Flarebook Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, offered as Pro Yearly at
