FixMzansi is an independent civic reporting app that helps South African residents log and track local community issues such as potholes, broken streetlights, water leaks, illegal dumping, damaged roads, faulty traffic signals, and other public infrastructure problems. With FixMzansi, you can quickly capture an issue, add a location, submit a report, and follow updates from your community. Reports are shown on a public map so residents can see what has been reported nearby and stay informed about issues affecting their area. FixMzansi is not a government app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any municipality, ward councillor, government department, or public authority. It is a community platform designed to help residents organise information, raise visibility, and track local issues. What You Can Do Report local issues Take a photo, add details, and submit a report with a location. View reports on a map Browse nearby community reports and see issue types, locations, and current status. Filter by category Find reports for potholes, water leaks, electricity issues, illegal dumping, damaged infrastructure, and more. Track report status Follow reports marked as open, in progress, resolved, or verified. Support reports from neighbours Use “Me Too” to show that an issue also affects you or your area. Build your community profile Earn XP, unlock badges, and track your reporting activity inside the app. View ward and area activity Explore public reporting activity by location and see which issues are being raised in different communities.
