Regulation lookup is optional and currently covers Wisconsin waters. When you want a keep/release check, choose a Wisconsin lake (or use your location to find nearby covered water), enter the fish length, and Fishwise checks the published rule for that fish and waterbody. Fishwise shows KEEP, RELEASE or CHECK with the reason. If the required context is missing or the rule cannot be verified, it does not invent a legal answer. You can expand the exact published rule and see its source. Always confirm against current Wisconsin DNR guidance before keeping a fish.
