Store description excerpt

You're scrolling and a clip stops you cold. There's no title on screen, the comments are useless, and nobody will say what it's from. Find The Title works it out from what is actually being said in the clip — and where it can, it checks that answer against the real subtitles before handing it to you. HOW TO SEND IT A CLIP 1. Pick a clip — the best way by far Choose a saved or screen-recorded video from your library. The app takes the dialogue out of the audio, transcribes it, and looks for those exact words in the published subtitles for the film or show. When the words line up, you get a confirmed match instead of a guess. 2. Listen — for something playing across the room Watching on a TV, a laptop, or a friend's phone? Tap LISTEN and hold your phone toward the sound. Same dialogue matching, straight from the room. It cannot hear a clip playing on the phone it is installed on — iOS only runs one app on screen at a time. 3. Paste a link — fastest, and the weakest A link gives the app the post's caption and its thumbnail, and nothing else. No audio. When the caption names the film, that lands. When it doesn't, there is often nothing to work from — and the app will say so rather than invent a title. If you have the choice, send the audio. It is the difference between a confirmed answer and a reasonable guess. IT TELLS YOU WHEN IT ISN'T SURE Every answer carries a confidence score and a list of other possibilities. A high score means the spoken words were actually found in a real subtitle. A weak one is labelled "Low confidence" and says plainly that it is a rough guess worth checking. When there is nothing to go on, it returns no match — rather than a confident wrong answer you'd have to find out about later. WHAT ELSE IS IN IT • Ranked alternatives, so a near-miss still points you somewhere useful • Lists you build yourself, with Want to watch / Watching / Watched on any title • Sign in with Apple to keep those lists in sync across your devices WHAT IT DOESN'T DO Results name the movie, TV show, or web series. For television that means the show — not the season or episode number. Clips work best at around 30 seconds or shorter, and every result is worth a sanity check against what you saw. PRICING Five identifications free, on the house. Sign in with Apple once and they are yours — along with your lists and your subscription — on every device you use. Unlimited is an auto-renewable subscription at $2.99 per month or $19.99 per year. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings after purchase.
