Store description excerpt

FileDrop is a fast cross-platform file transfer app for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Send and receive photos, videos, PDFs, documents, folders, ZIP archives, and other supported files between Apple devices, Android devices, and Windows computers. Use nearby device discovery between FileDrop devices, or create a QR transfer session for Android and Windows. No FileDrop installation is required on the Android or Windows device. CROSS-PLATFORM QR FILE SHARING Share files with Android phones, Android tablets, and Windows computers through a local browser session. Open FileDrop, display the QR code, and scan it from the other device. A local transfer page opens in the browser, allowing the user to send or receive supported files without installing FileDrop. A verification code helps confirm the local transfer session. SEND FILES TO ANDROID AND WINDOWS Select photos, videos, PDFs, documents, folders, archives, and other supported files from FileDrop. Create a local QR session, open it from Android or Windows, and transfer the selected items directly across the local network. RECEIVE FROM ANDROID AND WINDOWS Display a QR code from FileDrop and scan it using the Android or Windows device. Choose files in the browser, submit the transfer request, and accept or decline it from FileDrop before receiving the content. No Android or Windows application is required. NEARBY APPLE DEVICE TRANSFER Discover nearby Macs, iPhones, and iPads running FileDrop. Choose a device, select the files you want to send, approve the incoming request, and follow the transfer progress from start to completion. SEND MULTIPLE FILES AND FOLDERS Build large transfer batches containing photos, videos, documents, PDFs, folders, and archives. Add more items before sending and manage selected files from one organised transfer workspace. CONTROL INCOMING REQUESTS Review incoming transfer requests before accepting them. See the sending device, file name, file size, and number of items, then accept or decline the request. TRACK TRANSFERS IN REAL TIME Follow active outgoing and incoming transfers, view approval status, monitor progress, and cancel supported transfers when needed. TRANSFER HISTORY Review completed incoming and outgoing activity with: • File name • Sending or receiving device • File size • Transfer direction • Completion status • Date and time RECEIVED FILES LIBRARY Browse received files using grid or list layouts. Search by file name, preview supported content, open files, reveal them in Finder on Mac, and mark important items as favourites. NO ACCOUNT REQUIRED FileDrop does not require account registration, an email address, or a user login for local file transfer. LOCAL, NO-CLOUD WORKFLOW FileDrop’s nearby and QR transfer features are designed for devices available on the same local network. Files are transferred through the local session and are not uploaded to a FileDrop cloud-storage account. FileDrop is not a remote cloud-sync service. Device
