Filed Away keeps the medical receipts behind the HSA strategy that only works if you keep the paperwork: pay out of pocket now, let the account grow for decades, reimburse yourself whenever you want. The IRS sets no deadline for that reimbursement. It does expect you to be able to show the records — sometimes many years later, long after the paper has faded. There is no account, no server, and no sync service in the middle. If this app disappears in twenty years, the folder still opens and still makes sense. WHAT IT DOES • Scan a receipt in seconds — text recognition runs entirely on your device • Files it as 2026-08-24_Provider_$42.17.jpg, readable at a glance • Tracks one number: how much you can still reimburse yourself, tax-free • Pairs insurance EOB documents with the receipts they belong to • Marks receipts reimbursed so nothing is ever claimed twice • Exports a handoff package — every file, the index, and a plain-language explainer for whoever needs these records after you ONE PURCHASE Fifteen receipts free, with every feature working. After that, one payment, yours for good. No subscription, because a thirty-year habit shouldn't need a thirty-year bill. PRIVACY Nothing is collected. No account, no analytics, no network requests.
