Store description excerpt
Fidelia is the audiophile music player Mac listeners have trusted for over a decade — now on iPhone. Bring your own collection and hear it the way it was mastered. No subscription, no account, no one else's cloud. THE PROCESSORS, BUILT IN Equalizer — ten bands over a live response curve, with clip-safe automatic preamp and direct import of AutoEQ correction profiles for thousands of headphone models. Paste a profile once and it stays in your presets. HeadSpace — headphones are unnatural: your left ear never hears the right speaker as it would in a room. Frequency-dependent crossfeed modeled on real head acoustics gives a soundstage like speakers. Pro Dither — a psychoacoustic noise shaper tuned to equal-loudness contours, so changing bit depth leaves the noise floor where it belongs. Reference SRC — the same resampling engine that runs on the Mac, not the system's. EVERY OUTPUT REMEMBERS ITS OWN SOUND The correction that suits your AirPods is wrong on your monitors, and wrong again in the car. Each output keeps its own Equalizer and HeadSpace settings, restored the moment you switch. YOUR LIBRARY, LEFT IN PLACE Point Fidelia at a folder and play. Your files are referenced where they live — never copied, never re-tagged, never uploaded. Browse and search stays quick in six-figure libraries, and what's on the phone plays with no signal at all. BUILT FOR YOUR DAC Connect a USB DAC and Fidelia follows the music, requesting each track's own sample rate from the device — verified on an RME ADI-2 by bit-pattern test, and visible on a Fosi DS2 switching 44.1 to 192. Bit-Perfect mode bypasses every processing stage for a unity-gain path from file to DAC, and the readout tells you exactly what your DAC is receiving. Where iOS grants a different rate than the file asks for, Fidelia's own reference resampler closes the gap. YOUR SERVER, AND YOUR STREAMER Fidelia speaks Lyrion (Logitech Media Server) and UPnP: your server's library sits beside the files on your phone — one search, one player. Add a server by address when it would rather not be found. Browsing your server is always free. Keep Offline works on server tracks too — mark an album and it lives on the phone, playable with the server asleep. It plays TO your system, too. Any UPnP/DLNA renderer becomes an output, chosen from the same picker as your USB DAC. Bit-perfect sends the original bytes, gapless. Leave it off and the whole chain runs first — Equalizer, HeadSpace, resampler, your Audio Unit slots — then streams the result. Internet radio goes to the streamer too. Network playback is a separate one-time unlock. YOUR MAC'S LIBRARY, OVER WI-FI Already run Fidelia on a Mac? Fidelia Bridge copies your albums, playlists, stations, presets and settings across your own network — nothing to import, nothing in a cloud. AUDIO UNIT SLOTS • Audio Unit (AUv3) hosting — plug-ins open their own interfaces, and rotate with the phone • Equalizer and HeadSpace sit above the slots, so the panel reads i
