Store description excerpt
The FASD App 2.0 is used by parents of children and adolescents with a fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) to assess the behavior of their children and their parents' resources on a daily basis. This provides an overall picture of the complexity of the disease in children or adolescents with FASD and the quality of life of the family. The FASD App 2.0 is structured like a calendar with two parts: In the first part, when you click on the day in the calendar, you will be asked how your children's everyday functionality was in five areas (attention, everyday tasks, behavior at home, behavior in kindergarten / school and sleep) on the current day. In the second part you can state how you felt about your personal resources and stress on that day. In the FASD App 2.0, you can enter and track the details of all your children with FASD. If you consistently fill out this calendar in the FASD App 2.0, you will receive a detailed, near-real-time documentation created by you of the course of the impairments of your children (with a focus on behavior and adaptation) and your own resources. This process is summarized for you in the form of a graphic as an FASD report in the app. You can download the FASD report as a pdf and make it available at your discretion to those who are important from your point of view for the care of your children (e.g. attending doctors, psychologists, pedagogues, therapists, social pediatric centers, child and adolescent psychiatrics, youth welfare offices, Districts etc.). Of course, you are also free to use the calendar only for yourself or your family and to keep the results to yourself - you as the closest supervisor can decide! The results of the FASD App 2.0 are ANONYMOUS, i.e. WITHOUT being traced back to you, on the database of the German FASD KOMPETENZZENTRUM Bayern project in order to evaluate how often the FASD App 2.0 is used and with what result. This serves to continuously improve the FASD App 2.0, as a possible component of an innovative intervention strategy. We would be happy if you use the FASD App 2.0 and thus contribute to providing a new impetus for the care of children and adolescents with FASD!
